Church Covenant

This church has adopted the following covenant to express our commitment to accepting Jesus Christ as Lord in our church and daily lives: 

“Led by the Spirit of God, we receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, we now, in the presence of God and this assembly, joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.” 

“With the help of the Holy Spirit, we commit to walk together in Christian love, strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort, promote its prosperity and spirituality, sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines, and contribute cheerfully and regularly to support the ministry, church expenses, aid the poor, and spread the Gospel globally.” 

“We also commit to maintain family and personal devotions, teach our children Christian truths, seek the salvation of our relatives and acquaintances, walk wisely in the world, be just in our dealings, faithful in our commitments, exemplary in our behavior, and zealous in our efforts to advance the Kingdom of our Savior.” 

“We further commit to watch over one another in brotherly love, remember each other in prayer, help each other in sickness and distress, cultivate Christian sympathy and courtesy in speech, be slow to take offense but always ready for reconciliation, mindful of the teachings of our Savior to secure it without delay.” 

“We also commit that when we move from this place, we will unite with another church where we can continue to carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word as soon as possible.”
